ABOUT
WHO WE ARE
Welcome, to our website. We are a team of student attending Bankstown Girls High School in NSW, Australia. As part of our HSIE cirriculum, we were required to create an source that provides information on the native Australian flora and fauna. When assigned this team project, we had difficulty with the size of our group, but eventually it all worked out and we were a group of 5. We chose the topic flora & fauna. Our group found the researching and exploring task difficult, we also had problems agreeing on something together and assigning roles, but it eventually worked out.
We started off in a mess, looking through random books and searching up unrelated questions. We also had interviews with the teachers every now and then; during the interviews, we talked about what we have done and what our plan was. At first, we found the interviews confusing and we couldn’t understand what the teachers were trying to tell us. Later on, the teachers introduced to the class a quick strategy that makes the researching and exploring task go smoother and quicker, it was to come up with a main question. We sat for a while and thought about everything and anything to do with flora and fauna, we first had difficulties settling on a question but we eventually came up with “What challenges have the Australian flora and fauna overcome and what does the future hold?”. From this one question, we uncovered many information and we found that we had a lead to follow, our path was beginning to carve.
After collecting a heap of information, we combined it and categorized it. We created a website and decided to also create an animation. The animation we created was aimed at young children, to engross them in Australia's uniqueness. Things began to tie together, we finished off the website and the animation was done, and our presentation speech was done and dusted.
HOW WE DID WHAT WE DID
OUR FINAL PRODUCT
Our team had many different, bright ideas, some more impossible than possible. We decided our final product would look like a professional website and a cool animation targeted at kids.
